The 51/53/58mm portafilter mesh is a reusable metal mesh that is placed at the bottom of the portafilter of your espresso coffee machine. This mesh prevents ground coffee from sticking to the bottom of the portafilter and helps distribute water evenly during the extraction process.

These coffee filter meshes are available in different sizes, 51mm, 53mm and 58mm, to fit different portafilter handles. They are usually made of stainless steel or copper and are very durable and can be used for a long time.

-The main purpose is to prevent the impact of high-pressure hot water on the coffee powder, causing the surface of the powder to crack.The cracked powder will produce a lot of "floating" subdivisions, which is easy to over-extract and produce miscellaneous flavors, and it will stick to the upper water separator after extraction.
